What is a mandala?

A mandala is a design built around a single centre, repeating the same motif around the circle so the whole thing is symmetrical. That repetition is what makes mandalas satisfying to draw and to colour — a small choice near the centre echoes outward into the finished piece.

How the generator works

1. Pick how many times your line repeats around the circle (from a few folds to sixteen).
2. Draw one stroke near the centre — it's mirrored instantly into a symmetrical pattern.
3. Keep adding lines; where they enclose a shape, that shape becomes a region you can fill.
4. Choose a colour and tap a region to fill it. Add another layer to build more detail.
5. Save your mandala, or export it as an image to keep or share.
